We are seeking a Compliance Specialist II or III.

The Compliance Specialist provides support to the Registry-Registrar Compliance team by ensuring customer compliance with contractual terms and conditions. This position assists with the ongoing management of a comprehensive compliance program and/or registry agreement reviews and other audits to ensure compliance with contractual terms, ICANN consensus policies and established Verisign operational requirements/policies. Additionally, this role assists with general reporting and analysis assignments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assists with ongoing administration and execution of Verisign's Compliance Program liaising other Customer Affairs Office (CAO)team members and departments as necessary. Participates in periodic audits to determine compliance with contractual terms and conditions to include: ICANN Agreements, ICANN Consensus Policy, Registry Registrar Agreements, Data Escrow Agreements and Registry Services Agreements.
  • Gathers data, prepares and submits reports and other compliance related documents for key contracts, compliance program related correspondence (internal and external), department standard operating procedures, Registry Registrar Agreements, ICANN agreements, policy compliance reporting, etc.
  • Maintains database to track all Compliance Program related activities, deadlines, and follow-up items (with legal, registrars, ICANN, etc.). Under management direction, produces reports to track compliance activity and status.
  • Takes ownership of cases in team queue, including the management of DNS Abuse related cases to help ensure actions taken are in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in corporate, IT or regulatory compliance, contract management, or business operations

  • 1-5 years for Compliance Specialist II

  • 5+ years for Compliance Specialist III

  • Strong analytical and reporting experience with the ability to identify and clearly communicate verbal and written insights

  • Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, e.g. vlookups, pivot tables, graphs, advanced calculations, and formulas)

  • Proficiency with relevant software such Salesforce

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, or a paralegal certificate is highly preferred; high school or GED required

  • CPCM preferred

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range for Compliance Specialist II is $67,700-$91,700.

The pay range for Compliance Specialist III is $89,900-$121-700.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
