The Role

At Sovos, we're looking for a Compliance Services Associate to serve as a trusted resource for our clients. In this role, you'll manage compliance workflows, ensure regulatory deadlines are met, and help clients navigate our software with clarity and confidence. It's a strong starting point for someone ready to apply their skills in a meaningful, client-facing capacity.

More specifically, you will:

• Perform client-facing tasks within our platform, including data mapping, importing, print file creation, and transmittal file generation.
• Meet all client and regulatory deadlines with accuracy and consistency.
• Import, reconcile, and document data according to client-specific requirements.
• Train clients on navigating and using our software effectively.
• Submit remittances to federal and state agencies accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, increase efficiency, and reduce risk, using AI tools where applicable to streamline workflows.

What You Bring to Sovos

• You're comfortable with core computer software and have strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• You bring solid customer service experience, with a focus on active listening and clear documentation of client needs.
• You communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical audiences alike.
• You're detail-oriented and can work independently while adapting to shifting priorities.
• You're comfortable using or learning AI-assisted tools to support compliance workflows and client service.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire.

We expect that this role will pay a base salary that ranges between $45,000 and $55,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and location.
