POSITION SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, the Hospital Housekeeping Compliance Manager is responsible for the administration of hospital housekeeping compliance programs and activities related to the California Code of Regulations Title 15, Crime Prevention and Corrections, California Code of Regulations Title 22, Social Security Welfare and Institutions Code Section 19404, and Healthcare Facilities Maintenance (HFM) Policies and Procedures. This job class requires general knowledge of the compliance requirements under a hospital housekeeping contract.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. • Determine the applicable regulations and assist with determining how systems should respond given specific scenarios; assist with determining which systems and/or business processes will be impacted and require revision; and reviewing and/or assisting with the development of functional/business requirements to ensure compliance for those revisions.2. Research, analyze, and interpret state regulations, institution rules, and hospital guidance to determine applicability and risk to both technical and operational aspects for the contract.3. Develop and implement procedures and processes to prepare, administer, and monitor contract success.4. Analyze and produces detailed reports for weekly productivity statistics by service area andEmployee to determine trends based on completed deliverables and hours/FTEs allocated.5. Ensure compliance with technical enhancements and new regulations/procedures and perform audits or compliance reviews of operational areas against documented procedures.6. Provide new hire orientation training on all aspects of compliance monitoring.7. Analyze and produce detailed reports for daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual contract deliverable service logs for completion, accuracy, time-based analysis. Reviews staff and FTE productivity, inaccessibility, and other trends.8. Maintain and develop rapport with regulatory personnel by arranging continuing contacts; resolve concerns early; ensure positive customer interaction through ongoing communication.9. Consult with various groups and/or project teams to determine if system and/or business process modifications are required to conform to new or updated regulations and guidance.10. Track all contract documents, maintain official contract files, and update all contract modifications and contract changes.11. Generate and create detailed reports for monthly customer and institutional meetings: Environment of Care, Specialized Bed Subcommittee, Resource Management Committee, Monthly Executive Quality Summary.12. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two or more years of experience in hospital housekeeping compliance and regulatory oversight;- Knowledge of Titles 15 and 22 under California's Code of Regulations; Section 19404 of the SocialSecurity Welfare and Institutions Code; and HFM Policies and Procedures;- Ability to effectively supervise and develop assigned team to meet strategic goals;- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by senior management, customers, employees, and public;- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills;- Human relations skills to build effective relationships with team, customers and public;- Exceptional customer service skills;- Advanced computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;- Knowledge of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;- Mathematical skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;- Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business, operational and strategic management problems;-Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: • Viewing computer screen/monitor• Utilizing keyboard• Answering phone/making calls

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Some of the work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. The remainder of the work is in a prison healthcare facility with specialized needs for security and environmental control. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.

This position requires the ability to have and maintain enough strength, agility and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental, and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising the employee's health and well-being or that of their co-workers or inmates.
