    Description


    We are partnering with a digital banking organization seeking to add a First Line Compliance Manager to its 100% REMOTE team. This is a senior-level role within the first line of defense (1LOD), responsible for embedding compliance directly into business operations across digital banking, payments, and marketing functions.

    This role ensures that compliance is fully integrated into day-to-day business activities while enabling responsible growth, strong customer outcomes, and adherence to regulatory expectations across banking products and services.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The First Line Compliance Manager will serve as the primary compliance partner to business units, ensuring regulatory requirements are effectively embedded into processes, product workflows, and decision-making. The role covers marketing and advertising review for payment products, customer complaint oversight, regulatory risk identification, and ongoing compliance monitoring activities.

    This individual will also support policy implementation, regulatory change adoption, internal audit and exam readiness, and the development of a strong compliance culture across the organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Act as the primary compliance contact for assigned business lines and embed compliance into daily operations
    • Review and approve marketing and advertising materials for payment and banking products
    • Oversee customer complaint intake, investigation, resolution, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements
    • Ensure compliance with UDAAP, CFPB expectations, and internal complaint handling standards
    • Identify, assess, and monitor compliance risks across products, services, and business activities
    • Support risk assessments, control testing, and remediation of compliance issues
    • Translate regulatory requirements into practical business controls and operational procedures
    • Execute first-line monitoring, quality assurance, and compliance control testing
    • Support internal audits, regulatory exams, and compliance reviews, including remediation tracking
    • Promote compliance awareness through training, communication, and advisory support
    • Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes, controls, and operational efficiency

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • 10+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or fintech compliance or risk management
    • 5+ years in a leadership role within digital banking, payments, or deposit operations
    • Strong understanding of banking products, payments processing, and regulatory frameworks
    • Experience with digital banking platforms and financial technology environments
    • Knowledge of compliance risk management, control frameworks, and regulatory expectations
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence business stakeholders
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Bachelor s degree required;Master s preferred
