Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.
Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.
As part of Kalshi’s Compliance team, you will own some of the company’s most important regulatory expansion initiatives. This is a hands-on execution role with significant strategic exposure. You will be expected to take regulatory questions, develop a clear path forward, and then drive the underlying diligence, applications, documentation, and cross-functional work required to execute.
The ideal candidate has personally worked through complex financial-services licensing processes and is equally comfortable developing the strategy, engaging with regulators and advisors, and doing the detailed execution required to get an application or regulatory initiative across the finish line.
Own complex licensing and regulatory initiatives end-to-end across new products, jurisdictions, and regulated business lines
Develop regulatory strategies for new products, partnerships, market expansion, and other strategic business initiatives
Prepare and coordinate regulatory applications, supporting documentation, policies, business plans, governance materials, and other materials required for licensing and approval processes
Serve as a central cross-functional owner across Compliance, Legal, Finance, Product, Operations, and executive leadership for major regulatory initiatives
Manage regulatory diligence workstreams and coordinate with outside counsel, consultants, regulators, and other external stakeholders
Evaluate regulatory implications associated with potential acquisitions, investments, partnerships, or entry into new regulated businesses
Conduct regulatory and competitive landscape analysis and translate findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership
Build execution plans for strategic initiatives, establish milestones and dependencies, and drive workstreams through completion
Help design and operationalize compliance frameworks for new products, international markets, or regulated business lines
Take on other high-priority strategic compliance initiatives as Kalshi’s business and regulatory footprint expand
8–12 years of relevant experience in financial-services compliance, regulatory licensing, fintech, crypto, payments, or related fields
Direct, substantive experience working through complex financial-services licensing or regulatory approval processes, ideally within a fintech, crypto, payments, or other technology-driven financial-services company
Experience owning complex regulatory processes from initial assessment through application, regulator engagement, remediation, and approval
Strong understanding of financial-services regulatory frameworks, licensing requirements, governance expectations, and compliance program design
Demonstrated ability to independently take regulatory or strategic questions and turn them into clear recommendations and executable workplans
Strong project-management skills with the ability to drive multiple complex, cross-functional workstreams simultaneously
Excellent written communication skills and comfort producing regulator-facing applications, memoranda, policies, presentations, and executive-level recommendations
Comfortable working directly with senior executives, regulators, outside counsel, and other sophisticated external stakeholders
Highly execution-oriented and willing to personally drive detailed diligence, documentation, and application work rather than only managing advisors
Experience with regulatory M&A diligence, market-entry analysis, complex licensing regimes, or other strategic financial-services regulatory work is a plus
Comfortable operating without an established playbook in a fast-moving and evolving regulatory environment
Salary Range: $150,000 to $250,000 annually plus equity and benefits.
This range reflects current market data for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy and broad variance in experience levels within each title; if your compensation expectations exceed this range, we encourage you to reach out - we’re always happy to discuss.
