Job Title: Trade Compliance Analyst

Location: Remote

Additional Job Description:

Job Summary/Basic Function:

  • Position is responsible tensure that the Panasonic Forced Labor Program, related Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) certification requirements, and associated trade compliance activities within and related tthe PNA Business Unit(s) are undertaken in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and government regulations. This position is supported by PEXNA Logistics and the PNA Customs Compliance Manager.

Accountability:

40% - Forced Labor Trade Compliance Related Activities - Including but not limited to:

  • Support management of timely and accurate import & exports in compliance with government regulations, corporate policies and procedures within the organization:
  • Position supports management and execution of the CTPAT Supply Chain and Trade Compliance requirements.
  • Position supports management and execution of tasks related tForced Labor requirements.
  • Manage overall program activities within the United States in alignment with the Global Panasonic Forced Labor Program
  • Interface with Panasonic Global team on procurement activities in Japan and globally Monitor execution of tasks by other groups within the regional and global forced labor program tensure US requirements are met my required deadlines
  • Support development of audit process and delivery of procedure and reporting
  • Collect and report tCTPAT Supply Chain and CTPAT Trade Compliance team for submission tCustoms during validations and annual reports
  • Position supports management of Forced Labor validation program including but not limited tmanagement of Certificates of Origins and Free Trade Agreement certificates.
  • Create and maintain Trade Compliance Project Teams site
  • Create and maintain RAIL and detailed project plans for all assigned projects
  • Create RACIs for all projects Arrange and chair meetings with stakeholders and ensure execution of project tasks
  • Create and establish SOPs, KPIs, audit requirements, training requirements, reporting requirements and development
  • Create and present PowerPoints with status of projects
  • Support projects with reports and data analysis

40% - Manage and maintain CTPAT certification requirements across PNA Supply Chain

  • Manage overall CTPAT program by validating work plan and achieving targeted milestones of completion
  • Establish training cadence and ensure execution of expected tasks by related stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on execution of tasks by other groups tSr and Executive Management
  • Execute Risk Based Mapping on agreed number of suppliers/month
  • Manage CTPAT Supply Chain Validations (support ongoing meetings, collection of data, act as point person on validation discussion with CBP)
  • Manage CTPAT portal
  • Collect and report tCTPAT Supply Chain and CTPAT Trade Compliance team for submission tCustoms during validations and annual reports
  • Support development of audit process and delivery of procedure and reporting

10% - Manage & Report on Activity

  • Develop, execute and communicate KPIs/metrics/results related tdepartment compliance, accuracy, productivity, and efficiencies.

10% - Process Improvement

  • Support update and assessment of Trade Compliance Policy, Customs Compliance Manual and Import/Export Ops Manual tidentify, develop and maintain Business Unit specific process flows and process documents as it relates tproduct movements, bonded zone activity, customs entry, duty deferment programs, drawback and cross dock and other customs and logistics activities.
  • Candidate should actively contribute feedback on Trade Compliance policies established by PNA FTZ/Customs Compliance Management and Legal.
  • In coordination with Business Unit and PNA Customs Compliance Manager, identify, develop and deliver trade compliance training tidentified team members.
  • Communicate corporate level information, bulletins, and training tinternal Business Unit team members tensure understanding of trade compliance related requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Scope:

  • Individual contributor with ndirect reports
  • Job responsibilities are carried out in a work environment that consists of both recurring and non-recurring work situations.
  • Job involves a high degree of detail and complexity. Job tasks will be performed under moderate supervision.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain, Logistics or related area. MBA a plus
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in handling customs and international trade related issues, Forced Labor Program support, product classification, qualification of goods for free trade agreements OR equivalent experience
  • A current customs broker's license is desired but not required.
  • Lean Continuous Improvement Experience and/or certifications a plus

Competencies:

  • Possess a working knowledge and direct experience in import and export activities and Customhouse brokerage.
  • Possess a practical knowledge of CBP compliance best practices and regulations.
  • Candidate must work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, work independently and make decisions as required with minimum supervision and have an understanding of the implications of work and make recommendations for solutions. Candidate must have ability tdevelop and deliver activity and performance reports as needed.
  • Candidates must have excellent attention tdetail and the mental capability ttroubleshoot and solve problems of high complexity or difficulty, as well as problem solve in a proactive, methodical manner. Must be able twork effectively under the pressure of deadlines and comprehend complex issues.
  • Candidates for this position should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self motivated and be capable of working as part of a team or alone.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Power Point, and Power BI along with a well developed ability tread, write, and speak English.

  • Ability tcommunicate across all levels of the organization as well as externally tcustomers & suppliers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that support clear and timely written and verbal updates

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $28.00 - $30.00 per hour.
