The Compensation & Benefits Manager will lead the development and administration of benefits and compensation programs, ensuring they align with firm objectives and meet compliance. This role plays a key part in supporting the Human Resources department within the legal industry.

Description

  • Oversee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness offerings.
  • Design and implement compensation structures that align with firm goals and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Analyze market data to maintain competitive salary benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to address compensation and benefits-related inquiries.
  • Manage vendor relationships for benefits administration and related services.
  • Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefits metrics to leadership.
  • Provide guidance on compensation strategies for talent acquisition and retention.

Profile

A successful Compensation & Benefits Manager should have:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 8+ years of comprehensive benefits experience supporting the design, administration, and delivery of employee benefit programs.
  • Prior team leadership experience required, including coaching, performance management, and development of direct reports.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work hybrid in Washington, DC.
