BayCare is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation Analyst to support the development, administration, and evaluation of compensation programs that ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and regulatory compliance. This role partners with Human Resources and organizational leaders to provide compensation expertise, conduct market analyses, and support compensation initiatives across the health system.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze compensation data and market trends to ensure competitive pay practices.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and participate in compensation surveys.
- Support the development and maintenance of salary structures, pay grades, and compensation tables.
- Prepare and evaluate job descriptions, determine appropriate pay grades and salary ranges, and assess exemption status.
- Maintain accurate records related to job evaluations and compensation analyses.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of compensation philosophies, policies, and programs.
- Partner with HR professionals and leaders to address compensation-related questions and provide recommendations.
- Monitor compensation practices for compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Perform compensation-related calculations, analyses, and audits.
- Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in compensation analysis, or
- 3 years of progressive experience in a related Human Resources role.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of compensation laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
