Our multidisciplinary care team brings extensive expertise in gastrointestinal cancers for patients from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship.
Expanded Clinical Duties:
This role also performs essential technical tasks that directly support colorectal surgery operations:
- Assist with in-office procedures and examinations (hemorrhoid banding, anoscopy, and anorectal manometry)
- Perform suture/staple removal and basic wound care
- Process tissue/biopsy samples
- Assist in managing postoperative complications
- Maintain sterile technique and equipment safety
- Obtain and document surgical clearances
- Support perioperative coordination, including pre-authorizations and medication management
- These responsibilities require consistent staffing to maintain safe and efficient workflows.
Education and Experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current certification/license from one of the below:
Certified Medical Assistant- American Association of Medical Assistants
Registered Medical Assistant- American Medical Technologist
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- National Health career Association
National Certified Medical Assistant- National Center for Competency Testing
Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant- National Association for Health Professionals
Registered Medical Assistant- American Allied Health
Certified Medical Assistant Clinical- American Medical Certification Association
Active LPN license in state of employment
Active RN license in state of employment
CPR provider certification required.
Pay Scales:
CMA/RMA: $19.14 to $26.79
Clinic LPN: $22.32 to $31.25
Clinic RN: $26.04 to $36.45
40 hours per week, in Newburgh, Indiana
