The CDL Company Driver will transport goods from our distribution center to customers throughout the Southeast region. Company Driver Job Responsibilities:Document hours accuratelyPerform regular safety inspections of equipment in keeping with DOT, company SOPs and OSHA standardsCommunicate professionally with Fleet ManagerFollow a schedule of weekly recurring local runs between the warehouse and the customersDeliver freight on timeInspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessaryVisit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by lawContribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours workedMaintain product quality throughout conveyanceAdhere to traffic safety regulations at all times, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authoritiesDetermines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion.Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs. Required Skills/Abilities: High school diploma or GEDCDL licenseTwo years of experience working as a CDL driver with no legal or safety incidents on recordExcellent time management skills.Ability to work with little supervision Education and Experience:A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredMinimum 2 years' experience requiredClean MVR, no accidentsAll offers are contingent upon criminal background check and drug screen.
