Compact Equipment Diesel Technician

Location: Peoria, IL
Compensation: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time

A day in the shop

You roll in, review the day’s tickets, and jump straight into a compact track loader reporting hydraulic sluggishness. After pulling codes with diagnostic software, you verify readings with a multimeter, trace the issue on a schematic, and replace a faulty hydraulic valve. Next, a zero-turn mower arrives with a no-start condition—battery tests good, so you chase the problem through the starting circuit and swap a failed starter. By afternoon, you’re performing PM services on a mini excavator, documenting parts used, and wrapping up with a quick clean and reset of your bay for tomorrow.
