    POSITION PURPOSE

    Supports the Bank's mission to be the best bank in Texas & Oklahoma through effective sales and service leadership, targeted business development efforts, and community involvement. Responsible for developing and managing relationships in accordance with Prosperity Bank's values and business principles. Assists with accomplishing the area's mortgage lending objectives including business development strategies, sales efforts, and market expansion. The focus is on Community Reinvestment mortgage loan production and secondarily on conforming mortgage loan production.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    Sales/Service

    • Focuses on driving mortgage lending opportunities in underserved communities. Will work to make sure the bank is partnering in minority focused realtor groups, networks, and non-profit organizations.
    • Represent the Bank within the community by serving on at least one community service board/committee focused on CRA/Economic Empowerment /Woman-based business organization
    • Promote/cross-sell Prosperity's products / services such as business deposit products, treasury management, business credit cards, and merchant service solutions.
    • Attend at least one training conference /seminar annually to enhance their skillset annually
    • Conduct customer and prospect calls for the Bank to deepen existing relationships and obtain new business.
    • Develop partnership with local Mortgage Loan Officers, Branch Managers, and associates to cultivate a positive referral process.
    • Conduct joint calls with Supervisor, Mortgage Loan Officers, and local Branch Managers

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Certification: College Degree preferable but not required

    Required Knowledge: Solid relationships with realtor networks / Home builders in the CRA communities of the Bank's territory

    Experience Required: Experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or Realtor is preferred. Over 2 years of sales type experience.

    Skills/Abilities: Expertise in utilizing various software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Lotus Notes, XP, and ability to grasp new programs quickly and confidently.

    Must be a self-starter, people oriented and can handle multiple tasks at one time.

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    Communications skills are a must.

    Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

    Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

    Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.

    Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    None: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).

    MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions.

    Mathematics Ability: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; and ratio, proportion, and percentage. Able to perform very simple algebra.

    Language Ability: Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias.

    Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.

    Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct pronunciation (or sign equivalent), and variation in word order using present, perfect, and future tenses.

    Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

    40 hours per week
