About the Role:
Carriage Mobile Homes, Inc. is looking for a dependable and skilled Community Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Lafayette, NJ! In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our residential community safe, functional, and a place residents are proud to call home.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the community grounds and facilities
- Respond to and resolve maintenance work orders submitted by residents in a timely manner
- Conduct inspections of common areas, roads, and community infrastructure
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs as needed
- Maintain landscaping, grounds upkeep, and seasonal tasks such as snow removal
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger repair projects
- Ensure compliance with community safety standards and local regulations
Requirements:
- Prior experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and hand/power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
