NuLook Home Care Agency is seeking compassionate and dependable Community Support Aides to provide Community Living & Supports (CLS) services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health needs.

As a Community Support Aide, you will help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, develop daily living skills, and actively participate in their communities. This is a community-based position that focuses on teaching, coaching, and supporting—not simply completing tasks for the individual.

If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in someone's life while promoting dignity, choice, and independence, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Responsibilities

  •  Provide Community Living & Supports (CLS) services according to each individual's Person-Centered Plan.
  •  Assist individuals in developing independent living skills.
  •  Support community integration and participation in recreational, educational, vocational, and social activities.
  •  Teach daily living skills such as budgeting, meal preparation, hygiene, organization, shopping, and time management.
  •  Encourage independence while respecting individual choice.
  •  Transport individuals to approved community activities when appropriate.
  •  Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
  •  Report incidents, concerns, or changes in condition promptly.
  •  Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
  •  Participate in required training and supervision.
Minimum Qualifications

Required

  •  High School Diploma or GED.
  •  Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
  •  Reliable transportation.
  •  Current automobile insurance.
  •  Ability to pass criminal background screening.
  •  Ability to work independently within the community.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Basic computer and smartphone skills.
Preferred

  •  Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  •  Experience in behavioral health, direct support, human services, education, social work, or home and community-based services.
  •  CPR and First Aid Certification.
