Role:

The Community Health Worker (CHW) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe transportation of health center patients to medical appointments and other essential destinations vital for the patients' overall health and wellbeing. This role extends specialized services to community members with unique requirements stemming from physical disabilities, temporary incapacitation, or enduring health conditions.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Minimum Requirements:

Driving Requirements: Valid driver's license free of occupational restrictions. Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier.

Experience:Six months to two years' related experience. Experience driving a handicap accessible van or bus. Must be willing to obtain a Kansas State defensive driving certificate within one year of hire.

Education:High School diploma with CNA/CMA Certificate. (Two years of work experience transporting medically assisted clients can substitute CNA/CMA). Current BCLS certification or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
