AmeriCorps members will serve as Guest Services Specialists at The Beacon, supporting daily operations and enhancing the guest experience for individuals experiencing homelessness. Members will welcome guests, manage check-in and intake processes, and ensure accurate documentation of services in HMIS. They will provide orientation to services, respond to guest needs and inquiries, and help maintain a safe, respectful, and organized environment. Members will observe guest well-being, offer support, and respond appropriately to emerging situations. They will also assist with coordinating access to partner services (housing, healthcare, employment), support volunteer engagement, and contribute to consistent service delivery. Through these activities, members will improve access to essential resources and strengthen service navigation for Beacon guests.
