Job Description
Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you.
The WAHA Redevelopment Project is a $1.8B initiative in Northern Ontario delivering a state-of-the-art hospital, long-term care facility, and staff and patient accommodations. Due to the remote nature of the project, strong coordination across logistics operations is essential to ensure efficient movement of materials, personnel, and services.
Reporting to the Team Lead, Community Engagement, the Community Engagement Specialist will support the Project through meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and project partners. You will help implement engagement initiatives, support social impact and risk assessments, and bring forward innovative ideas that contribute to positive socioeconomic outcomes for local communities. You will also monitor performance metrics to support compliance with project deliverables and the Indigenous Participation Plan (IPP).
This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused professional who is passionate about community engagement, sustainability, and creating lasting benefits for local communities while thriving in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Monthly travel to Moosonee, Ontario is required to build community relationships and support the planning and delivery of engagement initiatives and events.
