Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist supports Eagle Community Credit Union’s marketing efforts by executing digital strategies across social media, web, and paid channels. This hands-on role creates and publishes content, coordinates campaigns, captures photography and video, maintains Eagle’s digital presence, and tracks performance to strengthen brand awareness, increase engagement, support community connections, and contribute to organizational growth.
Essential Job Functions

- Create, schedule, and publish content across Eagle’s approved social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
- Manage and maintain Eagle’s social media accounts, including content publishing, engagement monitoring, and routine account administration.
- Escalate member complaints, reputation concerns, suspected fraud concerns, and service issues identified through digital channels to the appropriate department.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and engagement across digital platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, community events, and organizational priorities.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of digital marketing campaigns across social media, web, email, and paid channels.
- Maintain and update website and blog content to ensure information is accurate, current, accessible, and relevant.
- Assist with search engine optimization and digital content improvements.
- Track and report performance measures, including audience growth, engagement, clicks, and conversions.
- Use available reporting tools to identify trends, assess content effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
- Develop shot lists, content concepts, and storytelling approaches aligned with Eagle’s marketing objectives.
- Capture photographs and video at branches, community events, sponsorships, business development activities, and other Eagle functions.
- Edit photographs, short-form videos, and other digital assets for use across approved marketing channels.
- Travel to community events and other off-site activities, including occasional evenings and weekends, to capture content and support Eagle’s brand presence.
- Coordinate with employees and departments to maintain accurate, timely, and consistent messaging.
- Monitor digital marketing, social media, photography, video, and content trends to keep Eagle’s content current and effective.
- Ensure digital content and marketing activities comply with applicable laws, disclosure requirements, Eagle policies, and brand standards.
- Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, including photographs, videos, graphics, and approved content files.
- Ensure required photo, video, media, and content permissions or releases are obtained and retained.
- Complete all required training and maintain proficiency in the software, platforms, equipment, and resources needed for the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of professional experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, or a related field preferred.
- Hands-on experience managing organizational social media accounts and executing digital campaigns preferred.
- Experience in financial services, credit unions, banking, or another regulated industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of social media platforms, digital channels, website content management, and basic search engine optimization.
- Experience with photography, video capture, short-form video production, and basic photo and video editing.
- Proficiency with content creation and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe applications, or similar platforms.
- Ability to create simple, polished visuals and short-form videos for digital use.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools and the ability to interpret results and recommend improvements.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision.
- Sound judgment, creativity, initiative, and a collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements
- Driving is an essential function of this position. The employee must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and remain insurable under Eagle Community Credit Union’s insurance requirements.
- Must be able to travel locally to branches, community events, sponsorships, business development activities, and other off-site functions to take photographs and videos and support digital marketing needs.
- Reliable transportation is required to perform essential job functions involving community travel, photography, video capture, and event participation.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based in a professional credit union environment.
- Frequent use of computers, mobile devices, cameras, audio equipment, editing tools, website platforms, and standard office equipment.
- Regular interaction with employees, vendors, community partners, members, and event participants.
- Occasional work outside the office and attendance at branch, community, or promotional events.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events or business needs.
- Regular local travel within Eagle’s service area is required to capture photographs and videos at branches, community events, sponsorships, and business development activities.
- Occasional evening and weekend work and transportation of photography, video, marketing, or event equipment.
- No overnight travel is generally required.

- Maintain assigned cameras, audio equipment, lighting equipment, mobile devices, and related marketing assets in good working condition.
- Immediately report lost, stolen, damaged, or malfunctioning equipment in accordance with Eagle policy.
Work Schedule
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday.
- Must accurately record all time worked in accordance with Eagle policy and applicable California wage and hour requirements.
- Overtime must be approved in advance by management.
- Must be available to attend and support selected evening, weekend, and occasional holiday community events as assigned.

- Serve as a professional ambassador of Eagle during community and outreach activities.

Compliance and Employment Considerations
- This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
- Must ensure social media, digital marketing, advertising, and promotional content complies with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, NCUA advertising and disclosure requirements, consumer protection laws, and Eagle policies and brand standards.
- The position may require a background check consistent with applicable law and Eagle policy.
- Continued eligibility to drive for Eagle business is a condition of performing the position’s essential travel responsibilities.
