    Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, Afternoon / Evening hours (29 Hours Week)

    This position is responsible for:

    Serves as a lead worker while planning, facilitating and monitoring recreational activities of the Community Center; transports patrons to and from the Community Center; assists in maintaining the Community Center facilities, equipment, and grounds; assists with preparing and maintaining program records. Helps to plan and lead Summer Day Camp activities, including planning and scheduling field trips.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plans, schedules, and assigns work to other community center program staff as needed.
    • Assists with the planning and facilitation of youth programs I the Community Center
    • Opens / closes the Community Center in compliance with established operating hours.
    • Prepares and maintains a schedule of Community Center
    • Coordinates the registration and orientation of participants and parents.
    • Assist Center Director or Assistant Community Center Director as needed.
    • Supervises patrons visiting the Community Center and participating in programs.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
    • Ability to perform various yard work including raking, loading, and hauling grass, leaves, pine straw, dirt, etc.
    • Ability to operate yard maintenance equipment.
    • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis; ability to move heavier equipment on an occasional basis (up to 50 lbs.).
    • Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
