    Plano, Texas | Full-Time | On-Site

    About Us\n

    \n

Scarbrough-Medlin & Associates has been serving Texas businesses and community associations from our Plano office for decades. Today, our team operates as part of Inszone Insurance Services, combining the relationships, specialized expertise and hands-on service of our established local team with the resources, carrier relationships and capabilities of a growing national insurance organization.

    \n

    \n

Our Community Association practice is one of the cornerstones of our operation. We specialize in the complex insurance needs of homeowners associations, condominium associations, townhome communities and the property management companies that serve them. Our team works with a large portfolio of associations throughout Texas and has built long-standing relationships with many of the region's leading community management firms.

    \n

    \n

Association insurance is not a side department for us. It is one of our specialties.

    \n

We are looking for an Account Manager who wants to become an important part of that team.

    The Role\n

    \n

The Community Association Account Manager will manage and develop relationships with a dedicated book of HOA, condominium and community association clients while working closely with our producers, senior account managers, property management partners and carrier teams.

    \n

    \n

This is more than a transactional servicing position. Our Account Managers are trusted insurance resources for property managers and association boards.

    \n

    \n

You will help clients navigate everything from routine policy servicing and renewals to complicated questions involving property valuations, deductibles, contractual insurance requirements, claims, certificates, coverage gaps and risk-management decisions.

    \n

    \n

A typical day may involve working with a property manager on an upcoming renewal, reviewing coverage for a board, resolving a carrier issue, coordinating certificates or endorsements, preparing a proposal, or helping a client understand how their insurance program responds to a real-world situation.

    \n

We want someone who takes ownership of their accounts and genuinely enjoys solving problems for clients.

    What You'll Do\n

    \n
    • \n
    • Manage the day-to-day insurance needs of a dedicated portfolio of community association clients.
    • \n
    • Build strong relationships with property managers, association boards and other client stakeholders.
    • \n
    • Coordinate renewals from information gathering and marketing through proposal preparation, binding and policy delivery.
    • \n
    • Review policies, endorsements, schedules and proposals for accuracy and potential coverage issues.
    • \n
    • Prepare clear coverage comparisons and summaries that help clients understand their options.
    • \n
    • Work closely with producers and carrier partners to identify appropriate coverage solutions.
    • \n
    • Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates and other service requests accurately and promptly.
    • \n
    • Assist clients with claims-related questions and help coordinate communication between clients, adjusters and carriers when appropriate.
    • \n
    • Identify potential coverage gaps or risk-management concerns and bring them to the attention of the client and internal team.
    • \n
    • Maintain accurate account documentation and proactively manage renewal dates, outstanding items and client commitments.
    • \n
    • Become a knowledgeable and dependable insurance resource for the property managers and communities you serve.
    • \n
    \n

    • Who We're Looking For\n

      \n

Insurance experience is strongly preferred, particularly in commercial property and casualty. Experience working with community associations, habitational risks, real estate or property management is especially valuable.

      \n

      \n

However, we also recognize that great Account Managers are built from more than a résumé.

      \n

We value people who are curious, organized, accountable and comfortable taking ownership of problems. Someone who communicates well, follows through and wants to understand why a coverage works—not simply process the transaction—can be extremely successful on this team.

      \n

      The ideal candidate will have:

      \n

      \n
      • \n
      • Commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience or a strong desire to develop expertise in the field.
      • \n
      • A Texas Property & Casualty license, or the ability and willingness to obtain one.
      • \n
      • Strong client-service and relationship-management skills.
      • \n
      • Excellent written and verbal communication.
      • \n
      • The ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines and priorities without losing attention to detail.
      • \n
      • Confidence communicating with property managers, association board members, carriers and internal leadership.
      • \n
      • Strong problem-solving skills and the willingness to investigate an issue rather than simply pass it along.
      • \n
      • Experience reviewing policies, proposals and coverage forms is highly desirable.
      • \n
      • Experience with HOA, condominium, habitational or real-estate-related insurance is a major plus.
      • \n
      • CIC, CISR or other professional insurance designations are welcomed and encouraged.
      • \n
      \n

    • Why Join Our Team?\n

      \n

You'll be joining an established community association insurance practice with a significant existing client base—not building a department from scratch.

      \n

      \n

You'll work alongside experienced insurance professionals who understand this niche and are willing to teach it. You'll also have access to the broader carrier relationships, technology and resources available through Inszone Insurance Services.

      \n

      \n

Most importantly, we want our Account Managers to grow into trusted advisors, not simply processors.

      \n

If you're already experienced in community association insurance, we'd love to talk.

      \n

If you're an excellent commercial insurance Account Manager who hasn't worked extensively with HOAs but wants to learn a specialized and growing niche, we'd like to hear from you too.
