    Job Description:

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Iowa Pork Industry Center (IPIC) provides swine producer education and outreach based on university research and producer needs. The Communication Specialist will support these efforts by developing educational and outreach materials for a project focused on environmental sustainability in livestock systems. Responsibilities include creating infographics, fact sheets, web content, and other communication materials that translate research findings into practical, producer-focused information. The position will work closely with faculty, researchers, and industry stakeholders to communicate scientific information in a clear, engaging, and accessible manner for pork producers and other audiences.

    Required Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
    • Experience with website development and content creation.
    • Experience developing short communications, such as infographics and fact sheets.
