Work Schedule: 4/10 Flex; Hybrid with  1 day onsite per week; occasional early‑morning or late‑evening work as determined by business needs

Travel: 25% travel and based on business needs

Description:

The Communications Representative will spearhead integrated communications and partner with the Employee & Executive Communications team, Program Communications, External Communications, Social Impact and Business Area counterparts to amplify storytelling across the northeast region, specifically for Archbald, Pennsylvania; Chelmsford, Massachusetts; Andover/Westover, Massachusetts. Will act as the primary communications advisor to assigned site directors and their leadership teams, proactively developing communications strategies based on site priorities, workforce dynamics and operational needs. Responsibilities will also include providing MFC-wide communications support for Facilities and Environment, Safety and Health (ESH), coordinating with enterprise communications partners and representing MFC on related OneLM efforts. The selected candidate will also support the MFC Employee & Executive Communications team with functional internal communications stakeholder groups, and other duties as assigned.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

• Serves as the primary communications advisor to assigned Site Directors and their leadership teams, proactively developing communications strategies based on site priorities, workforce dynamics and operational needs.
• Develops and executes integrated communications plans for assigned sites aligned with Operations and MFC priorities and coordinated with Program & External Communications, Social Impact and other functions represented at the sites.
• Translates enterprise and business-area priorities into locally relevant employee communications and connects employees to the broader MFC mission.
• Supports Site Director executive communications, employee engagements, significant operational milestones, workforce initiatives and organizational change.
• Serves as communications lead for site-level crises and issues, coordinating with Security, ESH, HR, Operations, Program Communications and External Communications.
• Provides MFC-wide communications support for Facilities and ESH, coordinating with enterprise communications partners and representing MFC on related OneLM initiatives, including Earth Day and National Safety Month.
• Must be based at an assigned location and able to travel regularly throughout the region based on business needs.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field with 1+ year of experience in internal communications, corporate storytelling, or internal channel strategy; OR bachelor's or master's degree in an unrelated field with 5+ years of internal communications, corporate storytelling, or internal channel strategy.
• Strong writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
• Previous strategic communications experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Intermediate experience with AP Style.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding and application of integrated marketing communication concepts to MFC communications plans.
• Develops communications solutions to problems of moderate scope and principles.
• Work is reviewed periodically for the adequacy of judgement, overall accuracy, and quality.
• Contributes to organizational projects and goals.
• Represents on specific projects and teams, contributing to effective collaboration and problem resolution.
• Engages with immediate team members and some external contacts.

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $74900.00 - $139100.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $67400.00 - $125200.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $59900.00 - $111300.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $53900.00 - $100100.00
