Our hospital-based ambulance transport service isseeking an experienced EMS/Medical dispatcher. The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;receivingcalls and dispatchingappropriate staff for six ground transport ambulances. The work week willconsist of8-hour days M-F,andthe applicant must be flexible as the schedule will bebasedondepartmental needs,including occasional weekend vacation coverage. The candidatecan expecta general hospital orientation combined with aunit-specific orientation with preceptorship. The length of your orientation will be based on yourexperience and level of comfort. The position will require theapplicant to be proficient with Windows-based computer programs, including MS Office; have effectiveinterpersonal and communication skills, and theability to work independently.Medical Terminology or EMT certification ispreferred.
