ResponsibilitiesPlans, manages, and evaluates company-wide communication strategies to ensure effective communication to employees, shareholders, and the community.Works with various business groups and senior management to develop and implement strong communication plans that will assist in meeting company goals and objectives.Evaluates complex information and strategically determines appropriate method of communication based on topic and company goals.Edits internal and external publications, writes speeches and provides media support.Represents U.S. Bancorp at various community, business, and educational events.May provide project management for special communication efforts, including acquisitions and divestitures.RequirementsBachelor's degree, or equivalent work experienceTen or more years of experience in communications activitiesOne or more years of supervisory/management experienceStrong communication management skills, including excellent verbal and written communicationBackground in journalism or demonstrated use of journalistic techniques to research, analyze, and synthesize complex information, conduct interviews, and shape clear, engaging narrativesDemonstrated ability to take initiative, operate independently, and drive work forward from concept through executionStrong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate needs, connect broader business context, and shape communication strategies that support enterprise goals, while influencing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholdersWell-developed organizational and project management skillsExperience using generative AI tools to improve productivity, content development, and decision support#J-18808-Ljbffr
