Overview:
Manages all personnel assigned within the Public Communications Department and Communications Center. Evaluates and supports staff to insure their success and reputation as front line communicators in the organization. Works with Director to influence staff and training in similar jobs institution wide. Works with Director to manage the Emergency notification system, Everbridge.
Responsibilities:
Works with Director to evaluate current operations performance and develops methods to improve overall communications
Overall accountability for day to day management of the staff, including recommendations for development
Works with Director as necessary to coordinate training for department staff and other medical center staff as appropriate
Ensures staff are up to date and proficient with medical center policies, mandatory annual training, and departmental policy and standards
Works with Director to establish department reports on key performance indicators of service, quality, safety, and budget
Embodies the principles of the Strategic Alliance and engages staff in all activities that effect their work. Communicates key department and medical center messages in all directions
Provide overall Everbridge Management Support for MMC Organization Staff
Provide overall Everbridge Management training for Public Communications Staff and other medical center staff as appropriate
Develop and deliver a continuous Everbridge education and awareness program, including training sessions as required
Troubleshoot Everbridge concerns and ensure that critical issues are documented and escalated for resolution
Qualifications:
BASIC COMPETENCIES
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in health administration, communication, or a related field required.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience, managing in a people/public oriented business required. Health care experience a plus. Union experience essential
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position, other languages a plus.
Pay Range:
USD $73,542.00 - USD $73,542.00 /Yr.
