    Develops, and executes internal and external communications that advances the College of Health (COH) and Cleveland State University's (CSU) mission, brand, and strategic priorities. Serves as a communications and creative resource, translating complex information and organizational priorities into clear, consistent, and engaging content and visual communications across all audiences and platforms. Collaborates across COH and with internal and external stakeholders to support the COH communications, programs, events, and strategic initiatives while ensuring alignment with CSU standards and accessibility requirements. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, graphic design, or related field.

    Experience in one or more of these areas: communications, marketing, public relations, or graphic design. Internship and co-op experience may be considered toward this requirement.

    Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and four (4) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Master's degree in graphic design, art, visual communications, or related field.

    Three (3) years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, preferably in an academic setting.

    Proficient in graphic design software.

    Experience with customer relationship management (CRMs) platforms and email marketing.

    Experience with website updating and implementing current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for websites.

    Previous project management experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    Knowledge of principles and practices of strategic communications, marketing, public relations, and content development.

    Knowledge of graphic design, visual communications, digital communications platforms, and content distribution.

    Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.

    Excellent interpersonal skills and have a "Customer Focus" attitude and delivery.

    Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.

    Ability to meet deadlines, tackle emergencies and difficult situations, and multi-task in fast paced environment.

    Ability to design digital and print publications and promotional materials.

    Skilled at designing or setting up electronic file systems.

    Proficient in desktop publishing, graphic design/image editing, and website editing software.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
