Job Title: Communications Coordinator II (Running Brand Communications)
Location Beaverton, OR (Hybrid Onsite at HQ)
Approximately 5 Months (July 2026 December 2026)

About the Role
We are seeking a Communications Coordinator II to support a leading global sportswear organization's North America Running Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who is passionate about running, sports storytelling, media relations, and brand communications.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing compelling communication materials, supporting PR initiatives, coordinating media events, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role also requires flexibility to attend major running events, some of which occur on weekends and may require travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support North America Running Brand Communications initiatives.
  • Develop, write, and edit:
    • Press releases
    • Media alerts
    • Fact sheets
    • Talking points
    • PR materials
  • Assist in executing communication strategies and PR campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and external partners.
  • Coordinate communications for product launches, campaigns, and special events.
  • Support media inquiries and provide communication resources.
  • Organize media events, interviews, press conferences, and photo shoots.
  • Work closely with PR agencies, freelancers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with communications planning and budget tracking.
  • Research media opportunities and industry trends.
  • Coordinate multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 4 years of professional experience in Communications, Public Relations, Brand Communications, or Corporate Communications.
  • Experience within the sports industry, preferably supporting running-related brands or products.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience creating press releases and external communications.
  • Excellent project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for running and a strong understanding of the running community.
  • Previous experience working at a PR Agency or Event Agency.
  • Prior experience supporting large consumer brands.
  • Previous experience with a major athletic or lifestyle brand is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable working flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends during events.
  • Experience supporting media activations and live events.
