    Description

    The position plays a key role in advancing the Campus Engagement portfolio within Tulane's University Communications and Marketing division. Reporting to the Senior Director of Campus Engagement, the position supports communications and marketing efforts for university initiatives, programs, campaigns, and flagship events.

    The position develops and implements integrated communications plans, creates and refines messaging and content, and collaborates with UCM teams to support coordinated and effective communications. The position also works closely with the Senior Associate Vice President of Communications & Marketing on campus and university-wide initiatives and independently manages assigned projects, providing recommendations and strategic support as appropriate.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, preferably within a higher education setting.
    • Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
    • Strong writing, editing, copyediting, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Passion for promoting community engagement within an educational context.
    • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of applications applicable to the responsibilities of the position.
    • Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
