Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Substations Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your DayThe day begins with receiving an RFQ from the engineering team and reviewing it to ensure all required documents are included, clear, and ready for release. Once validated, the RFQ is issued to equipment vendors who had been previously notified of the bid opportunity. Throughout the afternoon, attention shifts to receiving bids on another project and following up with vendors to ensure commercial alignment. In parallel, you are aligning closely with the project and engineering teams to incorporate their technical feedback into these discussions to ensure a coordinated evaluation process. How You'll Make an Impact Participates in buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials.Serves as liaison between vendors and users, getting prior approval for purchases.Resolves delivery, quality or other supplier related problems with purchases.Participates in updating project plans and sourcing strategiesReviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plan for domestic and international purchases.Participate in the negotiation of prices, terms and quality requirements.Prepare requests for quotes and assist in the development of new supply sourcesEvaluates market conditions. Solicits cost reduction ideas from suppliers and initiates follow up action to implement these savings for the company.Manage the commercial relationship with the key suppliers through supplier visits and regular business reviews (contract status, quality performance, delivery performance etc)Ensure contractual coverage is in place through negotiating framework agreements and price agreements with the key suppliers What You BringExperience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related fieldPreferably 3 years relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing & ProcurementExperience in commodity or supply chain management, and contract managementSolid track record of delivering increased value and significant cost savings for partners and customers through strategic sourcing and supplier analysis.Self-motivated and solutions oriented, with a mentality for challenging the status quo while building strong, collaborative relationships across all partner levels.Strong individual contributor, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to influence and challenge cross-functional teams to meet project objectivesApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
