Description

What You'll Do

As a Commodity Manager, you will:

  • Develop and execute category strategies that align with business priorities and long-term objectives.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives and identify opportunities to increase value across assigned commodity categories.
  • Lead commercial negotiations involving contracts, pricing, lead times, payment terms, and Incoterms.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and utilize supplier scorecards to improve performance and operational outcomes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support business growth and supply chain resiliency.
  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering teams to identify new materials, process improvements, and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Monitor procurement metrics related to supplier performance, inventory management, payables, and invoice accuracy.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline processes and support category performance.
  • Prepare and present monthly updates on financial results, supplier performance, and strategic initiatives.

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CPM, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or category management experience.
  • Proven success managing suppliers, leading negotiations, and delivering business results.

  • Strong strategic sourcing and category management expertise.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and procurement processes.
  • Strong financial acumen and cost analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Office-based role with regular interaction in manufacturing environments and supplier locations.
  • Up to 50% domestic and international travel to support supplier and business needs. Ability to obtain a passport required.
