Commodities Business Manager

Strong familiarity with commodities such as: Wafer materials (Silicon Carbide, Silicon Ingots, Sapphire, Gallium Nitride), Electromechanical components (pumps, seals, valves, optics, mirrors, lenses. Lead end-to-end contract negotiations, perform Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), and drive supplier performance management across QCDI metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering 
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and commodity management within the semiconductor or capital equipment industry
• Strong familiarity with commodities such as: Wafer materials (Silicon Carbide, Silicon Ingots, Sapphire, Gallium Nitride), Electromechanical components (pumps, seals, valves, optics, mirrors, lenses..etc.)
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite) and PLM software (Arena)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications related to raw materials and equipment components
• Strong foundation in Should-Cost analysis, complex cost modeling, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluations
• Demonstrated experience with Master Supply Agreements (MSA), Statements of Work (SOW), and supplier negotiations
• Hands-on expertise in New Product Introduction (NPI), dual-sourcing strategies, supplier qualification, and risk mitigation

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute long-term commodity strategies for semiconductor raw materials and electromechanical components
• Lead end-to-end contract negotiations, perform Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), and drive supplier performance management across QCDI metrics
• Mitigate supply risks by qualifying secondary sources and assessing global market trends, raw material indices, and geopolitical risks
• Partner with R&D and NPI teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) costs through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE)
• Manage capacity planning, resolve critical supply shortages, and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance
