We are currently seeking a Commissioning Technician to join our team in Greensboro, NC. If you have a strong technical background and enjoy troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing building systems, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role

As a Commissioning Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring new and existing building systems perform as designed. You will lead and support system startup activities, testing, and performance validation while working closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients.

What Youll Do

• Perform startup and commissioning activities on mechanical and electrical systems
• Conduct system performance evaluations on new and existing construction projects
• Complete point-to-point inspections and verify proper system operation
• Perform functional testing of HVAC, electrical, and control systems
• Identify operational deficiencies and support resolution efforts
• Maintain detailed documentation, including pre-functional checklists and action item logs
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure systems meet design intent and performance standards
• Support final commissioning and project turnover activities

What Were Looking For

• Background in HVAC or electrical systems with strong technical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and system schematics
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background checks

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role involves both field and technical work environments and may include:

• Travel to job sites with varying weather and environmental conditions
• Extended driving between locations as needed
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and use of tools

• Exposure to construction materials and building systems
