We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Specialist to support Data Center commissioning projects. This position will lead and perform electrical commissioning activities, including QA/QC inspections, functional performance testing, equipment startup, and integrated systems testing.

The Commissioning Specialist will support owner's L4-L5 Data Center commissioning while overseeing and supporting L0-L3 commissioning activities. This role will work closely with clients, project stakeholders, contractors, and construction teams to ensure systems are safely commissioned, meet design requirements, and achieve operational performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical commissioning activities for Data Center projects.

• Perform and oversee QA/QC inspections, functional performance testing, equipment startup, and system verification.

• Lead L4/L5 commissioning and integrated systems testing.

• Review and oversee documentation and execution of L0-L3 commissioning activities.

• Commission electrical systems including utility infrastructure, electrical distribution, life safety systems, low-voltage systems, and facility systems/components.

• Review commissioning procedures, test scripts, equipment documentation, and system readiness.

• Identify, document, track, and assist with resolution of commissioning deficiencies.

• Coordinate commissioning activities with owners, contractors, vendors, engineers, and project stakeholders.

• Verify systems meet applicable design documents, specifications, codes, and operational requirements.

• Support safe execution of commissioning and energized electrical testing activities.

• Utilize and evaluate Power Quality Meters (PQMs) as part of electrical testing and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 10+ years of progressive electrical commissioning experience involving utility infrastructure, electrical power systems, life safety systems, low-voltage systems, building/facility systems, and facility operations and maintenance.

• 2-3+ years of focused Data Center commissioning experience, including documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing.

• Strong understanding of the construction and commissioning process.

• Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA, and NICET electrical testing standards and code requirements.

• Experience working with Power Quality Meters (PQMs).

• Strong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and coordination skills.

• Ability to travel up to 95%.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Must be able to successfully complete a background check.

Required / Preferred Certifications

• Industry-recognized Commissioning Certification.

• IR Thermography Level I or Level II Certification.

• AWS or similar L4 Lead Certification.

• NFPA 70E Certification.

• OSHA 10 minimum; OSHA 30 preferred.
