This role involves customer engagement, site visits, and configuring & starting up custom systems based on Mainspring's linear generators. It offers an opportunity to shape future workflows and is ideal for analytical engineers comfortable in dynamic settings.ResponsibilitiesOperate and test Linear Generator units after new site installations to allow seamless integration into Mainspring's fleetTravel to customer sites and project locations to support new installations, site acceptance tests, and customer demonstrationsEnhance commissioning procedures to improve testing efficiency and shorten timelinesTroubleshoot and root‑cause operation issues with linear generators in collaboration with engineering teams such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Software & ControlsWork directly with commissioning technicians to facilitate repairs, retrofits, and provide operational training on generatorsAnalyze data, generate reports, and communicate results to customers, internal project managers, and engineering teams to facilitate learningsBuild and refine automation scripts, commissioning toolkits, and data‑driven processes that streamline onboarding, testing, and fault recoveryQualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalentExperience in project managementStrong organizational and communication skillsUnderstanding of electrical power distribution and control systemsProficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB)Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP)Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficientlyDemonstrates flexibility in approach and willingness to take on new challengesDetail‑oriented and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environmentEnjoy working with complex systems and collaborating in interdisciplinary teamsWillingness and ability to travel nationwide up to 50% of the timeBonus QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering or related field and/or 3+ years of applicable experienceHands‑on experience in industrial equipment installation/commissioning, including interpreting schematics and technical specificationsFamiliarity with microgrid controls solutions, devices, programming, technical challenges, constraints, energy management systems, and controls architecture is preferredExperience working directly with customers in a technical or engineering capacityWe are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, flexible, and collaborative environment.
