Waldinger has been designing, building, and maintaining the systems that keep buildings running for over a century. In Lebanon, Indiana, we're looking for a Commissioning Manager to have the final word on whether a building's mechanical and plumbing systems are truly ready for the client.

You'll lead commissioning from inspection and startup all the way through integrated systems testing, directing your own team and coordinating the specialty trades that get a project across the finish line. If you're an experienced project engineer or manager who loves solving technical puzzles and wants to own the moment a project comes to life, this is your role.

What You'll Own:
• Commissioning from start to finish: Lead mechanical and plumbing commissioning from Level 3 through Level 5, including inspections, pre-functional checklists, equipment startup, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing.
• The plan and the schedule: Build and maintain project-specific commissioning plans, schedules, and documentation, and tie commissioning milestones into the overall project schedule.
• Testing that holds up: Write, review, and refine test scripts based on drawings, specs, and sequences of operation. Evaluate results and drive issues through resolution and retesting.
• The relationships: Run commissioning meetings with clients, commissioning agents, engineering, field leadership, and other trades to set objectives and clear roadblocks.
• Your team and the trades: Direct your commissioning team and coordinate specialty subcontractors for flushing and filling, chemical treatment, testing and balancing, indoor air quality and particulate testing, equipment cleaning, and final turnover.

What You Bring:
• 5–8 years of project engineering or project management experience.
• A bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• A strong grasp of mechanical and plumbing systems, plus the leadership skills to keep clients, agents, and trades aligned.
• Comfort with minimal travel and a light-physical-demand role.
