Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer with a strong mechanical background and experience within the data center market. The ideal candidate will assist in carrying out project assignments across various vertical markets, including hospitals, large/complex facilities, and mission-critical facilities such as data centers, telecommunications, or disaster recovery sites.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings.
  • Develop and execute equipment pre-start-up procedures.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation.
  • Develop commissioning test procedures and reports.
  • Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and project tracking tools.
  • Write detailed reports with recommendations for optimizing building operations.
  • Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals.
  • Administer functional tests for various systems, including mechanical central chilled water plants, packaged rooftop units, boilers, chillers, computer room air conditioning units, and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct integrated system testing and building management system testing.
  • Compile results from all testing procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Electrical Mission Critical Field.
  • Experience in construction and commissioning within hospitals, large/complex facilities, and mission-critical facilities.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design, engineering, and equipment.
  • Ability to interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors, and owners" agents.
  • Experience with IEEE procedures and protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of system design.
  • Commissioning certification or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s or Associate"s Degree is a plus.
  • A/E experience in complex facilities or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
  • Good communication skills.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
  • Certification with a recognized tech company is desirable and takes about a year to achieve.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
