Description

What if your next repair kept an entire supply chain moving?

If you love diagnosing tough problems, turning wrenches with pride, and seeing equipment you’ve serviced roll out safely, you’ll fit right in at NFI. We’re a 90+ year, family-owned logistics company where technicians are trusted, supported, and empowered to grow.

Imagine your shift

You clock in to a well-organized shop. The first unit needs a brake adjustment and electrical diagnosis. You connect JPRO and OEM software, verify readings with a multimeter, and pinpoint the fault. After a quick tire rotation on the next trailer, you weld a minor bracket and close out clean digital notes — all while collaborating with teammates who have your back.

Rewards that match your skill

  • $22–$26 per hour, aligned to experience and certifications
  • $2,000 sign-on bonus
  • Unlimited referral bonus
  • Consistent, reliable schedule — recruiters help align the shift to your life
  • Health, dental, vision, and Rx coverage
  • Major shop tools, PPE, and uniforms provided
  • Boot allowance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO from day one and eight paid holidays
  • Continuous training, career development, and ASE reimbursement with study support

  • Repair/replace tires, brakes, and suspension parts
  • Perform welding and fabrication as needed
  • Document accurate, thorough service records
  • Engage customers with clear, professional communication
  • Champion safety protocols at all times

What it takes

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Preferred: ability to obtain a Class B license
  • Technical or advanced degree, or 1–3+ years of equivalent maintenance experience
  • Diagnostic proficiency with JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, multimeters, and Windows
  • Proven problem-solving ability and strong teamwork/customer service skills
