Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Commercial Tire Technician to join a growing service team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for repairing, replacing, inspecting, and maintaining tires on commercial trucks, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and other heavy-duty equipment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial tire experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
Required Experience & Skills
13 years of commercial tire experience preferred
Experience servicing OTR, agricultural, construction, commercial truck, or similar tires
Experience with tire repair, replacement, mounting, and balancing
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to safely operate tire changers, lifts, balancing machines, and related equipment
Valid driver's license required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Repair, replace, mount, and maintain tires on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment
Service tires used on trucks, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery
Operate tire changers, vehicle lifts, balancing machines, and other tire service equipment
Inspect tires and wheels for damage, wear, and potential safety concerns
Diagnose tire issues and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions
Perform balancing and related tire maintenance services
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Complete required service paperwork and documentation accurately
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients
Assist other technicians and team members as needed in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous OTR or heavy-duty commercial tire experience
Agricultural or construction equipment tire experience
CDL preferred but not required
Experience performing field or mobile tire service
Strong knowledge of commercial tire inspection and repair procedures
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, move, and maneuver heavy commercial tires
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate tire service and lifting equipment
Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods
Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
Work Environment

Work involving trucks, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and heavy-duty tires
Combination of indoor and outdoor work depending on service needs
Physically demanding environment requiring strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude
Occasional Saturday work may be required based on business needs
