Commercial Roofing Estimator / Project Manager
Houston, TX | $85,000–$110,000 Base, Based on Experience
If you’re already estimating or managing commercial roofing projects in Houston and you like being involved in the job from the beginning through completion, this one may be worth a conversation.
I’m working with a large, established commercial roofing contractor looking to add an Estimator / Project Manager to its Houston team.
It’s a good mix of both sides of the business. You’ll estimate new construction opportunities, put the numbers together and help win the work, but you won’t just hand it off once it’s sold. You’ll stay involved and manage your projects through completion.
You’ll be working with an experienced team and have the resources behind you to get the work done properly.
Compensation & Benefits
$85,000–$110,000 base salary, based on experience

What You'll Be Doing
Review plans, specifications and project requirements
Prepare estimates, job costing and proposals for commercial roofing projects
Manage awarded projects from start through completion
Track labor, materials and overall project costs
Keep projects on schedule and within budget
Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers and customers
Manage submittals, schedules, change orders and quality control
Review purchase orders, contracts, invoices and project documentation
Handle customer questions and resolve issues as they come up
Manage project billing and help ensure jobs remain profitable
Visit jobsites regularly and stay connected to what is happening in the field
What We're Looking For
3+ years of construction industry experience
Commercial roofing experience is strongly preferred
Experience estimating and/or managing commercial roofing projects
Good understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials and installation
Comfortable reading plans, specifications and project documents
Strong understanding of job costing, labor and material management
Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong communication with customers, field teams and subcontractors
Organized, accountable and able to follow projects through to completion
Comfortable making decisions and solving problems as they come up
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and related programs
Valid driver's license
Comfortable visiting active jobsites and climbing ladders when required
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is helpful, but hands-on commercial roofing and construction experience is highly valued.
Why Consider It?
If you enjoy both sides of commercial roofing — putting the job together and then seeing it through in the field — this gives you the opportunity to do both.
You’ll be joining an established contractor with a strong presence in Houston, a solid team behind you and the resources to deliver the work.
