Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all phases of commercial retail construction projects from planning through final turnover.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate subcontractor bidding, procurement, contract administration, and project execution.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Lead owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings while serving as the primary client contact.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including billing, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Collaborate closely with Superintendents to maintain schedule and quality standards.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and quality control procedures.
  • Manage project closeout activities, including punch lists, turnover documentation, and warranty coordination.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience managing ground-up and renovation retail, commercial, restaurant, grocery, mixed-use, or tenant improvement projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and project financials.
  • Experience working on occupied renovations and phased construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional client service.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
