Key Responsibilities: Lead advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems Perform complex repairs, retrofits, and system optimization Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert within the service team Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with industry and environmental standards Maintain accurate service documentation and provide detailed reporting to customers and management Support technician development through mentorship and hands-on training Contribute to process improvements and quality assurance initiatives
Primary Duties: Diagnose and repair complex refrigeration and HVAC system failures Repair, replace, and optimize critical components including: Advanced control systems Multi-stage compressors Variable frequency drives (VFDs) High-capacity cooling systems Perform system commissioning to ensure installations meet operational and efficiency standards Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to improve system performance and reliability Analyze recurring system issues and recommend long-term solutions Lead large installation and retrofit projects in coordination with project managers, engineers, and field teams Ensure EPA and environmental compliance requirements are followed Provide customers with detailed service reports, recommendations, and system improvement strategies Mentor Level 1–3 technicians and assist in technical training initiatives Stay current on industry advancements, regulatory changes, and emerging refrigeration technologies
Qualifications: 6+ years of commercial refrigeration or HVAC service experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities Experience with rack systems, grocery store refrigeration systems, or large commercial refrigeration environments preferred Knowledge of advanced controls and refrigeration systems EPA Certification required Ability to work independently and manage high-priority service calls Strong communication and leadership skills
