Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Relationship Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Relationship Manager to originate new commercial real estate loans, develop new business, and manage relationships with commercial property owners and investors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

The ideal candidate has experience in CRE lending, loan origination, business development, credit analysis, and portfolio management, along with the ability to build and maintain a strong network of clients and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and develop new commercial real estate loan opportunities.
• Build relationships with commercial property owners, investors, developers, brokers, and business owners.
• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and existing relationships.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial real estate clients.
• Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flow, credit history, property information, and overall creditworthiness.
• Evaluate CRE transactions and recommend appropriate loan structures.
• Prepare and present loan requests for credit approval.
• Develop additional deposits, cash management, and business banking relationships.
• Cross-sell appropriate banking products and services.
• Maintain accurate credit, loan, and portfolio documentation.
• Partner with underwriting, credit, loan processing, and internal banking teams throughout the lending process.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide ongoing portfolio support.

Qualifications

• Experience in Commercial Real Estate lending or commercial banking.
• Proven track record of CRE loan origination and business development.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate credit and financial analysis.
• Experience evaluating borrower financials, property cash flow, and credit risk.
• Strong portfolio and relationship management skills.
• Established San Francisco/Bay Area network of CRE investors, property owners, developers, brokers, or referral sources preferred.
• Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to independently generate and develop new business.
