Job Details

Our client is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate with at least two years of experience to join its Minneapolis-based real estate practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale transactions, financing, and leasing. Experience with real estate development and finance is also highly valued.

Additional experience with the following is desirable:
Acquisitions and dispositions
Commercial leasing
Real estate finance
Real estate development
Title and survey matters
Joint ventures
Related commercial real estate transactions

The attorney will work directly with partners and clients and will have meaningful responsibility throughout the transaction lifecycle. Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing due diligence, coordinating closings, and advising clients on legal and business issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Judicial clerkship experience is also welcomed.

The position is designed for an attorney who is interested in building a long-term career in commercial real estate and progressively taking on greater responsibility for clients and transactions.

Qualifications:
Active Minnesota bar admission required
2+ years of commercial real estate experience
Experience with sophisticated transactional matters
Strong drafting, negotiation, research, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and client-service-oriented approach

Compensation: $200,000–$275,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a discretionary performance-based bonus. The position has an annual billable-hour target of approximately 1,850 hours.
