Description

NOLA Protection Group is seeking dedicated, vigilant Unarmed Security Officers to provide round-the-clock 24/7 coverage at a commercial site located at 800 Richard St in New Orleans. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain continuous security oversight through interior and exterior foot patrols, ensuring the safety of client personnel and safeguarding private property and grounds.

Licensing & Certification Requirements

  • Guard Card: Must possess a current, active Louisiana Security Officer Guard Registration Card issued by the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners (LSBPSE).

  • Classroom Training: Must have completed and be up to date with the required 16 hours of classroom training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol & Monitoring: Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols of the property, perimeter, and facilities.

  • Access Control & Trespass Deterrence: Actively deter unauthorized visitors, trespassers, and unwanted activity on private property.

  • Vigilance: Maintain high alertness and situational awareness over extended shift durations.

  • Incidents & Reporting: Promptly observe, report, and document any security breaches, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences.

  • Environmental Adaptability: Perform all assigned duties outdoors and indoors across various New Orleans weather elements.

Qualifications & Physical Demands

  • Vigilance & Focus: Strong ability to remain alert, attentive, and engaged throughout 8-hour shifts.

  • Physical Requirements: Capable of sustained walking, standing, and conducting physical patrols outdoors in varying climate conditions.

  • Availability: Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of a continuous 24/7 coverage schedule.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Adheres strictly to LSBPSE rules for private security personnel (security officers operate within private property boundaries and do not direct public traffic or issue traffic citations).

Compensation & Start Date

  • Starting Pay: $14.50 / hour
