Position Summary

The Commercial Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures in commercial construction and service environments. This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively with general contractors, project managers, and other skilled trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems
  • Install pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications
  • Plan pipe systems and related equipment installations
  • Install heating and cooling hydronic piping systems
  • Collaborate with general contractors and other construction professionals on job sites
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on pipe systems, supports, and related equipment
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes and safety regulations
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and trade-specific equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing experience
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools utilized in the plumbing trade
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, rough drawings, and construction plans
  • Experience planning and installing pipe systems and related equipment
  • Experience with heating and cooling hydronic piping installations
  • Proficiency with:
    • Victaulic connections
    • ProPress systems
    • Sweat-end connections
  • Strong troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
