EMR is currently hiring for an experienced Commercial Planning & Inventory Analyst to join our Commercial team. This role is responsible for analyzing inventory data, identifying trends and opportunities, and using data to support decisions around inventory movement, planning, and operational priorities. The ideal candidate is an analytical and organized supply chain professional who enjoys working with data and can turn complex information into clear recommendations. This position works closely with Sales, Logistics, and Operations to help ensure inventory is positioned and managed effectively. This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who can look beyond the numbers, identify what is happening with inventory, and help determine what actions should be taken.

This role will be worked 100% onsite in Camden, NJ and pays $75000 - 90000 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory levels, inventory movement, turnover, and trends across the business.

  • Monitor inventory data to identify excess, aging, slow-moving, or otherwise at-risk inventory.

  • Evaluate inventory availability and support planning decisions based on current inventory positions and business needs.

  • Use inventory and supply chain data to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and opportunities.

  • Develop recommendations based on inventory analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making.

  • Partner with Sales to identify inventory that needs to move and support recommendations regarding available material and customer opportunities.

  • Work closely with Logistics and Operations to coordinate inventory movement and support effective planning.

  • Analyze inventory requirements and help prioritize material movement based on business needs and operational constraints.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve complex Excel reports and analytical tools used to monitor inventory and support decision-making.

  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting related to inventory, turnover, movement, and supply chain performance.

  • Translate data and analysis into clear, actionable information for cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory planning, reporting, processes, and overall operational efficiency.

  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Logistics, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve inventory-related issues.

  • Support additional supply chain and inventory planning initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Professional experience in supply chain with a significant focus on inventory analysis, inventory management, materials planning, and/or inventory planning.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities within data.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and work with complex reports, spreadsheets, and analysis.

  • Experience using inventory data to make recommendations and support planning and business decisions.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with Sales, Logistics, Operations, and other business partners.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is not an entry-level analyst position or a traditional financial or business analyst role.

We are seeking candidates with prior experience in commercial planning, inventory allocation, metals, commodity operations, or industrial supply chain management. While advanced analytical and Excel skills are essential, industry knowledge is equally important for success in this role.
