Build Relationships. Win Business. Grow a Territory.

Blair Commercial Painting, LLC is an award-winning commercial painting contractor serving businesses and property owners throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

We are looking for an experienced, driven Commercial Painting Sales & Business Development to help grow our Direct-to-Owner division.

This is a relationship-based outside sales role for someone who enjoys developing new business, meeting decision-makers, uncovering opportunities, and closing profitable projects. You will build your own pipeline while strengthening relationships with existing and previous Blair customers.

This is not a plan-and-spec estimating position. You will not spend your days preparing detailed blueprint takeoffs. Your focus will be on finding opportunities, meeting customers, understanding their needs, developing solutions with our estimating team, and winning the work.

About Blair Commercial Painting

Blair Commercial Painting provides professional commercial interior and exterior painting services throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. We are also a proud member of the Painting Contractors Association.

Our customers include:

  • Office and commercial buildings
  • Industrial facilities
  • Retail centers
  • Multi-family properties
  • Healthcare facilities
  • Schools and educational facilities
  • Homeowners associations
  • Property management companies
  • Other commercial property owners

We have built our reputation around quality workmanship, professionalism, responsiveness, and doing what we say we will do.

What You'll Do

You will take ownership of developing and managing commercial painting opportunities throughout your territory.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
  • Develop new relationships with property managers, facility managers, business owners, HOA boards, and other commercial decision-makers
  • Prospect through networking, referrals, previous customers, local businesses, and direct outreach
  • Reconnect with past customers to generate repeat business
  • Identify upcoming repainting, maintenance, capital improvement, and renovation needs
  • Conduct customer meetings and site visits
  • Understand customer priorities, budgets, schedules, concerns, and decision-making processes
  • Work with our estimating team to develop accurate proposals and project solutions
  • Present proposals and clearly communicate scope, value, timing, and expectations
  • Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process
  • Negotiate agreements and close profitable projects
  • Manage opportunities from initial contact through contract award
  • Coordinate a professional handoff to the operations team once a project is sold
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and customer information in the company CRM
  • Attend local networking events, business organizations, and industry meetings
  • Develop long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business and referrals
  • Represent Blair Commercial Painting with professionalism, honesty, and a customer-first approach

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or relationship-based sales
  • A successful track record of generating leads, developing opportunities, and closing business
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Confidence speaking with business owners, property managers, facility managers, and other decision-makers
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage a sales territory independently
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills
  • A professional appearance and demeanor
  • A customer-first approach with a strong commitment to follow-through
  • Comfort visiting commercial and industrial properties
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout Southeastern Wisconsin
  • Honesty, dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic

Industry Experience Is Helpful, But Not Required

Experience in any of the following would be valuable:

  • Commercial painting
  • Construction or contracting
  • Facility services
  • Building maintenance
  • Property management services
  • Commercial building services
  • Business-to-business service sales
  • CRM platforms
  • Google Workspace
  • CompanyCam or similar field technology

We are more interested in someone who knows how to sell, build relationships, and create business than someone who simply knows paint.

Compensation and Benefits

Your performance should have a meaningful impact on what you earn.

We offer:

  • $60,000 - $70,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Realistic first-year earning potential of $110,000 - $150,000+
  • Uncapped performance-based commissions
  • Performance bonus opportunities
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Company phone
  • Company laptop
  • Weekly pay
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Company contribution toward health insurance premiums
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Ongoing sales training and professional development
  • Opportunities for advancement as the company grows

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Primarily daytime hours
  • Occasional evening networking events or customer meetings
  • Local travel throughout Southeastern Wisconsin
