    Location: Lorton, VA
    Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience
    Job Type: Full-Time

    Job Description

    We are looking for reliable Commercial Movers / Drivers to join our moving team in Lorton, VA. This is a hands-on job that involves driving, loading and unloading trucks, moving furniture and equipment, and working with customers at different job sites.

    Our Commercial Movers work on both commercial and residential moving jobs. The Driver is also part of the moving crew, so this is not a driving-only position. You will be expected to help with the physical work involved in each move and make sure the job is completed safely and professionally.

    Moving experience is preferred, but experience in delivery, warehouse work, furniture installation, construction, or other physical work may also be considered.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive company vehicles to and from commercial and residential moving jobs.
    • Safely operate box trucks and other assigned vehicles.
    • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
    • Load and unload furniture, boxes, equipment, and other items.
    • Properly secure items inside the truck before leaving the job site.
    • Wrap and protect furniture and other customer belongings.
    • Lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items throughout the moving process.
    • Assist with both commercial moving and residential moving projects.
    • Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
    • Assist with commercial furniture installation and placement.
    • Follow instructions from the Crew Leader and Operations Manager.
    • Treat customer homes, offices, furniture, and property with care.
    • Communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner.
    • Report damage, injuries, delays, or other problems to the Crew Leader.
    • Keep trucks, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
    • Complete daily timesheets and required job paperwork.
    • Follow all company safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.

    Qualifications

    • Valid driver's license required.
    • Acceptable driving record.
    • DOT Required
    • CDL or non-CDL experience depending on the vehicle being driven.
    • Previous commercial moving, residential moving, delivery, warehouse, or moving experience is preferred.
    • Box truck driving experience is a plus.
    • Furniture assembly or installation experience is helpful.
    • Must be comfortable performing physical work throughout the day.
    • Must be able to lift and move 100+ pounds repeatedly.
    • Dependable and on time.
    • Able to work well with a crew and follow directions.
    • Good customer service and communication skills.

    Physical Requirements

    This is a physically demanding Commercial Mover position. The job requires frequent:

    • Lifting and carrying heavy furniture and equipment.
    • Loading and unloading trucks.
    • Pushing and pulling.
    • Bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching.
    • Walking and standing for extended periods.
    • Climbing stairs and working in tight spaces.
    • Working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.

    Schedule

    This position is available Full-Time. Moving schedules can vary depending on the customer's needs and the project. Some jobs may require early mornings, longer workdays, or schedule flexibility.
