About the Role
Symbiotic Services is recruiting for a growing commercial mechanical contractor in the Dallas market. We are seeking a Commercial Mechanical Sales Manager with real-world experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, and commercial building services.
This is a field-driven sales role, not an IT or software position. The ideal candidate understands commercial HVAC systems, repairs, retrofits, tenant buildouts, and capital improvement projects â and can confidently sell those services to property managers, building owners, and facility teams.
You will identify mechanical needs, develop scopes of work, estimate projects, and close profitable service and project agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Sales & Client Development
Meet with property managers, building owners, and facility leaders
Perform site walks to assess HVAC and mechanical systems
Identify repair, replacement, and upgrade opportunities
Develop scopes of work for service and capital projects
Present and sell mechanical solutions in person
Estimating & Proposal Preparation
Build job estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Prepare professional proposals and pricing breakdowns
Ensure projects meet margin and profitability targets
Address pricing questions and communicate value clearly
Contract Execution & Project Transition
Secure signed agreements and service contracts
Coordinate handoff to operations and field teams
Maintain client communication through project startup
Revenue Growth
Prospect new commercial accounts
Expand services within existing client portfolios
Meet or exceed sales and gross margin goals
Required Experience
5+ years in commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, facilities services, or construction sales
Experience selling mechanical repairs, service agreements, retrofits, or capital projects
Ability to build estimates and review drawings/plans
Comfortable working in the field and conducting job walks
Proven track record of closing commercial service or project work
Strongly Preferred Background
HVAC service manager or project manager transitioning into sales
Mechanical estimator
Facilities or chief engineer experience
Commercial construction or building services sales
