Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients with high level of client retention and company loyalty.
- Maintain positive relationships and be responsive to agents and underwriters.
- Review and manage policy renewals for existing customers.
- Create accurate certificates of insurance.
- Process customer policy change requests.
- Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements.
- Provides on-going support and resolve issues for insurance clients as needed.
- Obtain continuing education to the highest industry standards.
- Assist clients with premium payments and accounting questions.
- Previous Account Manager or CSR experience in commercial lines required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as Commercial Lines Account Manager at independent agency.
- Experience as a Team Lead, Manager or Supervisor of others.
- Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Professional appearance with professional office and phone etiquette.
- Ability to be self directed and also work in team setting.
- Proficient with multi-tasking, follow-thru and follow-up.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional business writing and editing skills.
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
- Computer literate with ability to quickly learn new programs.
- Ability to read and understand accounting ledger to figure out billing is helpful.
- Ability and willingness to travel to MN quarterly and also to Key Accounts in other states a few times a year for renewal meetings with the Producer.
